Lake Arrowhead Chamber of Commerce (LACCC) Executive Director – Job Description


I. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or Finance.
• A minimum of 5 years of executive-level management experience, preferably within a membership-based or nonprofit organization.
• At least 5 years of demonstrated success in:
• Event and meeting planning
• Marketing and communications
• Bookkeeping and financial management
• Human resources and volunteer coordination
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in office and communication technologies, including email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact), CRM/event management software (e.g., GrowthZone), website editing, and graphic design tools.
• Must successfully pass a background check and complete all required training per California standards.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule: minimum of three days per week in-office, with frequent weekend availability required.


II. Summary of Responsibilities
The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative officer of the LACCC, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. This role is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and growth of the organization in alignment with its mission and goals.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting and advancing the LACCC mission.
• Managing daily operations, including member services, staff and volunteer coordination, and the Visitor’s Center.
• Planning, organizing, and attending events and programs.
• Coordinating all board and committee meetings.
• Maintaining and updating all organizational communication channels and records.
• Building relationships with members, sponsors, and the broader business community.
• Serving as a liaison and public representative of the LACCC within the community.
• Implementing and following the LACCC Operational Manual across all systems and activities.


III. Core Duties and Functions
Administrative Management
• Oversee email correspondence, membership database, sponsor and financial tracking, organizational records, thank-you correspondence, and staff/volunteer supervision.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Visitor’s Center.
Email & Digital Marketing
• Design and distribute communications using platforms like Constant Contact; maintain and update email lists and outreach strategies.


Board Support
• Prepare for and attend 11 regular board meetings annually (typically third Tuesday at 5:00 PM) and 1 annual retreat.
• Meeting attendance may be remote as needed.
Program and Event Management
• Coordinate logistics for all LACCC events, including materials preparation, venue coordination, database maintenance, and onsite support.


Special Event Leadership
• Lead planning and execution of major events, including:
• Brew Fest (August/September)
• Home Tour (September)
• Additional events as directed by the Board.


Website and Social Media Oversight
• Maintain website content, including sponsor updates, event pages, and media galleries.
• Coordinate with social media vendors per the LACCC Social Media Policy.
• Use licensed platforms (e.g., GrowthZone) for all updates; programming is not required.


Committee Support
• Provide administrative and logistical support to committees and committee chairs as appropriate.
• Attendance at meetings is required only when related to defined responsibilities.
Visitor Center & Tourism Promotion
• Manage operations of the Visitor’s Center and related tourism initiatives, including the “I Love Lake Arrowhead” campaign.


Miscellaneous
• Complete additional duties as mutually agreed upon, such as managing software for the annual elections, preparing board minutes, generating financial reports, etc.


IV. Compensation
• Base Salary: $68,640 annually ($1,320 per week), exempt status, in compliance with the 2025 California minimum salary requirement.
• Performance-Based Incentives: Additional compensation may be awarded based on the achievement of defined performance metrics, (i.e. membership growth, new grants). Performance bonuses will be reviewed annually and determined at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
• Benefits: Currently, no health or retirement benefits are offered beyond those required by California law. Vacation and holiday pay are provided in accordance with the LACCC Employee Handbook.
